Our Mission
Through their team of leading interventional cardiologists, Heart and Vascular Specialists deliver exceptional care to patients in Northern Virginia and the DC metro area.
Their philosophy is ‘whoever saves a life; has saved humanity’. They aim to first prevent and then heal. They strive and work closely with their patients towards a shared goal of improving their overall health, while focusing on the “heart” of the matter.
Doctors Anis and Cheema utilize the latest advances in cardiovascular medicine to prevent, diagnose and treat a wide variety of heart diseases including CAD, heart attacks, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, heart valve disorders, hypertension, peripheral vascular disease and more. They have extensive training and experience in managing patients with complex cardiovascular and vascular diseases and have special interest in high-risk coronary and peripheral interventions along with advanced heart failure management.
Knowing heart disease is the number one cause of death in the US, the Heart and Vascular Specialists have mastered the novel concept of ‘Cardiac Urgent Care’ and are currently the only practice of its kind in the DC Metro area, where patients who potentially have serious cardiac issues can be seen the same day in office, thus avoiding unnecessary emergency room visits, and the costs associated. Their team provides in-office comprehensive cardiovascular testing such as nuclear stress test, Echocardiography, Holter monitoring, and vascular studies for PVD. Their highly trained Cardiologists also perform invasive procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, peripheral interventions and Transesophageal echocardiograms at all major hospitals in Northern Virginia. Furthermore, their team offers endovascular treatment options for more complex structural and congenital heart diseases.
